MobiWire will unveil MobiPrint² in Hong Kong during the Cartes Asia Show from 27th to 28th March, 2013. The white-label company will introduce its cash- and electronic-transaction terminal dedicated to micropayments in South East Asia.

Since 2009, French-based MobiWire has addressed Latin America, South Africa and Middle East with more than 50,000 of its point of sale (POS) terminals. Today, MobiWire expands its footprint to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and responds to retail stores seeking for new business models and willing to reach unreachable customers, with its new device. MobiPrint², with an original design and user interface reflecting professionalism and usability, applies to mobile payment, logistics, store management and many other use cases

About MobiPrint²

The French manufacturer unveiled MobiPrint², the second generation of its transaction-processing terminal, at the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) in Dubai (UAE) in October 2012. MobiPrint² is now used in various parts of the Middle East, Western Africa and Latin America, in countries where banking services tend to be rare and cash payments are the principal means of transaction.

MobiPrint² is a mobile payment terminal able to perform cash- and e-transaction and edit a proof of purchase instantly. The mobile POS can be used for a wide range of services, such as making payments and topping up mobile-phone credit. Each customer receives payment confirmation by SMS and the terminal prints a receipt. This technology means that transactions can take place anywhere, at any time, guaranteeing a proof of payment for each transaction.

MobiPrint² supports POS management and background synchronization, in order for retail stores to vary and differentiate their business models, while increasing turnover. The MobiPrint range aims to automate payment processes in countries where standard banking systems are not fully in place. As an expert in wireless-payment terminals, MobiWire has taken the lead in this segment of the market.

About MobiWire

MobiWire is a French manufacturer of mobile-related technology which provides a range of products that are designed on behalf of global brands, including OEMs, mobile-telecom operators and retailers, for the mass market while also being adaptable to vertical markets.

MobiWire’s products apply to its dual-market approach, as the company produces, on the one hand, smartphones that incorporate the most up-to-date market trends and technologies, therefore fulfilling the needs of major mobile-telecoms operators. On the second hand, as an expert in wireless-payment terminals, MobiWire has taken the lead in this segment of the market and provides a family of mobile payment terminals dedicated to cash- and electronic-transactions.

The company will be on Stand 3F012, at Cartes Asia, in Hong Kong, from 27 to 28 March 2013.

Paris, July 20th, 2012

It’s been almost a year after its creation and MobiWire SAS has firmly confirmed its capacity to design and deliver connected devices, such as mobile phones and transaction processing terminals, as a genuine start-up-like company. European retailers and major actors of the mobile payment industry are its current customers and Mobile Network Operators (MNO) have gradually considered partnership with the latter.

MobiWire SAS has demonstrated its ability to position itself as an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) among other constantly growing Asian players, with a clear focus on quality and flexibility. The enriched experience of the team is based on strong history.
“We have been working for more than 15 years with the MobiWire SAS team and they have my entire trust. A company is primarly a human experience and when we had the chance to take part in the creation of MobiWire SAS, we did it with no hesitation; the same way we did it in 2003 during the JV with Sagem and then in 2009 when we created Sagetel Mobiles”, said M. Xu, founder of Bird-Sagetel Group.

Launched in July 2011, MobiWire SAS has indeed joined its historical partner, Chinese manufacturer Bird-Sagetel and started up the commercialization of tailor-made terminals with its head-quarter in Nanterre (Paris, France) headed by Bruno Mortreux, Chief Executive Officer, former VP Products Strategy & Management at Sagem Wireless.

With a dual market approach, MobiWire SAS develops a core business based on volume handsets and selected business verticals. “MobiWire will announce its first main MNO customers in the coming weeks”, Mortreux said. “Next to that, the launch of the second generation of transaction processing and POS management terminal will be announced for the last quarter this year. To top this news, MobiWire will be launching a range of smartphones under its own brand very soon.”
